The chart isn’t wrong. It’s just not finished.

A tide table is a moon calculation. It’s right about gravity and silent about weather. On a calm day it’s close. On the days that decide your season, wind moves the water somewhere else — and the table never hears about it. Here’s what we do about that.

Pull the station prediction

Same NOAA harmonic data every chart app uses — the astronomical tide for the station nearest your spot. This is the starting point, not the answer.

Read the wind over your water

Speed, direction, gust spread, and how much open water the wind has to push across (fetch). A 15-knot breeze over two miles of open bay moves water. The same breeze across a protected creek doesn’t. We model your spot, not the region.

Add pressure and recent history

A deep low sitting on the coast raises water an inch per millibar it drops. We fold in barometric pressure and how the last 48 hours of weather already stacked or drained your area.

Check ourselves against the gauge

Live observed readings from the nearest gauge are drawn on the same chart as the prediction and the correction. When we’re wrong, you can see it — and so can we. In creeks far from a gauge, the app says so plainly instead of pretending.

Hand you the window, plainly

Real high, real low, the delta vs. the chart, and the hours worth fishing — one sentence, no jargon. Plus a confidence band so you know when to trust it to the minute and when to give it slack.

Messy front coming through? Gusty, swinging wind? The correction gets a wider confidence band and the app tells you it’s a coin flip. No fake precision. A tool that admits what it doesn’t know is a tool you can actually trust.
